Five members of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Zimbabwe ACEWATER III team participated in the International Symposium on Heavy Metal Pollution, held from 7–8 October 2025 at the University of Zimbabwe. The symposium was organised in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the ZAZINAMBO Project, bringing together researchers and practitioners to share knowledge on addressing heavy metal pollution and its environmental impacts.
During the two-day event, the NUST team showcased their ongoing research through a series of poster presentations highlighting current work on the Deka River, alongside an oral presentation that explored key findings and emerging insights. Their contributions demonstrated NUST’s continued commitment to advancing research on water quality, pollution monitoring, and sustainable water resource management, while fostering regional collaboration and knowledge exchange on critical environmental challenges.
